Plea for a Military 1 in 15V

#1

Post by RadioactiveSpyder »

Hi Sal,

Given the outstanding success and customer response about the recent 15V sprint models, would it be possible for you all to consider making a 15V Military 1? I and I’m sure many others here would love to have another 15V offering (before your supply runs out), and yes I may secretly want to swap that blade into a set of CQI fluted Ti scales to make the ultimate Military. I know you have a lot of folks clamoring for 15V on their favorite Golden model, and if you were ever going to end the Military 1 runs on a high note, then 15V is the song you need to play here.

Just putting it out there, and my apologies if this has been asked of you previously.

Take care, Radioactive

Interesting. I'd most likely buy any Millie (1) sprint, though I'm not holding my breath

Guess I should have read the Temperance 2 in 15V thread first, and I would have known that the 15V supply is all spoken for. Oh well, it was worth a shot…

Kinda breaks my heart to say it but I think I'd pass, I'm pretty much all in for the Military 2 now. But, that's just 2 that could go to someone else. I'm sure they wouldn't be hard to sell.

I would go for it. Comp. locks are not being used too much around here.

same here. the millie had a good run, but I have no desire to go back to one after owning the new version. i'm keeping a couple around for nostalgia / collectors pieces, but haven't carried one since I got my first Millie 2.

there's a couple different sprints on arizona knife works last I checked.

Same here, especially one in 15V. I like the Military 2, but the original is still high on my favorites list. I generally prefer liner locks, and I have been using them for decades, but a button lock Military 3 (like on the Sage 6) would take my money instantly! :smiling-cheeks

I would take a Milly 1 sprint in just about any variation, but sad to say I think those days have passed.

I still hope the Military 1 goes out with one final run of the titanium framelock and carbon fiber. End on a high note.

I would love one. Maxamet, K390 or maybe Magnamax would be great too.

I like the Military 2 quite a bit, but my thumb still instinctively reaches for a liner lock every time I go to close it. I will buy any Military 1 sprint. I like the idea of one in Maxamet, k390, or MagnaMax.

Why no ti/cf framelock PM2?

I'm interested in a sprint of the Millie 1. Magnamax would be my pick, since it will still take a bit of time to come to market.

This is it.

Also it's not like being a Military 1 is the whole reason I wouldn't buy one, I already have 15V in two Military 2's, it just feels a bit too redundant. If the 1 was offered in a steel that for whatever reason was never going to be used on the 2 then I'd bite, assuming it's a steel I wanted to try out.
