Yes - another handle variant added to the controlled series that exclusively features different handle variants.
More steels will be used in the LW model platform.
Wheel was also a controlled series at some point in prehistoric times. I bet there were those who wanted it to feature different shades of flint, but strongly opposed making it out of different stone types.
Look where we are now.

Sorry guys,
I'm still testing the handmade prototype of the 3.5" that Roque made. We're a long ways from a production piece.

Looks really cool!! - actually thinking about getting one, despite not being much of a CF guy.
Personally though I´d even more like to see a Micarta Chap eventually (would also be an "even newer" version, since there already was a CF/G10 laminate Chap).
Generally I am with Nick / @Mushroom
I think keeping the Chap line true to the original intention of displaying various handle materials, but specifically "open up" the FRN version for (steel-) variants is a great approach.
Most ideal would be if blades were swappable between all variants (which is mostly the case anyway? Idk...), so that people could create their ideal Chap if we ever see steel variants in the FRN model (as of now I can see folks wanting the SE blade of the FRN model in another handle. I actually think the "aggressive" look of teeth with that red carbon should look really cool...)
Re: New Preview - Chaparral May the 4th be with you
Another Chaparral with CTS-XHP and a fancy handle?
More steel options please.
Sorry if its boring for you but the idea behind the Chaparral line is around the handle differences as its like what the Kopa used to be.
So steel is not it main focus for once…

No offense meant, @Flash , but I also think one can hardly criticise the Chap - line for doing what it always was meant to do....
