Wonderfully Workmanlike Wharncliffes!

I need more Wharnies in my life. I constantly find that they perform way above their size for my needs. The K390 Dragonfly Wharncliffe just arrived today. I look forward to seeing if it can unseat the Manbug as my Wharncliffe King!
I’d like to see more lefty-friendly Wharncliffe models released. I’d have the Lil Native and all 3 Yojimbo sizes if they weren’t the wrong-handed locks!

Someone with a 3D printer could become rich if they designed and sold a well-polished kit to that turned compression lock Spydercos into button operated compression lock systems for lefties. The basic hardware is already there. I'm sure someone smart could come up with a way to cleanly attach a button to the right side scale

Yessir, I will probably collect any future Delica/Salt 2 wharncliffes. Have 4 so far with my favorite being Salt 2 LC2000n wharnie. It hits all my boxes of being a powerful cutter, precision tip, easy to sharpen, stainless, strong ambidextrous lock, easy opening, closed bias, easy to carry, lightweight, good clip, good value, ergonomics and grip, and sheeple friendly. I am a fan of the Yo2 also, but it’s a bit too nicely ground and purpose-built for me to beat on or use for any old thing.

Nice collection of Wharncliffe 's. The green one, that the Endela, or what size is it? I know you guys around here just can look at these knives and know which one they are, but I have a pointed head with low to no memory lol...
It's a great looking knife for size. I have only three of the Wharncliffe Spyderco's right now. They are little mighty Munchkin's you sure won't sell them short on performance, if you ask me, two of the ones I still have right now are SE.
The other is my Spyderco DogTag which is a PE. I got talked out of my bigger one I had a few months ago I think it was. Need to get me a really nice big Wharncliffe to replace it. I really have this thing about big knives lol...

You wrong handed guys need to just put your clothes on backwards... then figure out how to turn your head 180 and you might be all RIGHT then lol... Bad joke I know sorry just picking on you a little lol.
No all kidding aside, that would suck air not being able to enjoy some of these like those of us right-handed guys do.
I Agee that it wouldn't take much to make the button release on these for you lefties out there. It's like everything else in this world though, it all drills down to money and time. Time, if you look at it very much, that's just more money lol.

Me too! I only have one Wharncliffe style knife, Yojumbo.

The green one is the Salt 2 Wharncliffe in LC200N, which is discontinued but still available. It’s basically a linerless Wharncliffe Delica.

I'm right-hand dominant but I am able to safely operate a standard Compression Lock with my left hand when necessary. It takes a bit of practice, but it can be done, and learning to operate the standard Compression Lock with your left hand will open up your knife options beyond the (sadly) limited array of left-handed Compression Lock models.
There are also 3D-printed aftermarket add-ons that make the standard Compression Lock easier to actuate, which may also make it more lefty-friendly.

I'm definitely on a wharncliffe arc in my collection. Most recently picked up the S30V Delica wharncliffe and the Yojimbo 2, the latter of which immediately has jumped to the top of my EDC rotation, and probably the best use of the compression lock I've handled. Grabbing the 15V version of the Yojimbo the second I see them hit the market.
