Lock up was strong, no blade play, the scales were dyed long time ago and were sanded down to the first owner's liking. Blade was CPM D2, so it sure made me happy. I liked the finger choil quite a lot better than the new one, but the action was gritty and the blade wasn't really dropping on its own. I thanked him for such a nice gift, went home and started working on it. After taking it apart there was no question that the knife was used quite extensively. Dust mixed with oil that dried over the years was present everywhere inside. Some small pitting here and there, but nothing serious really.

When I was wiping off the scales with the alcohol the dye started to coming off leaving me with that "working pants look". I kinda liked when the work was taking me...which gave me an idea about creating some patina. Which I did soon after. Put everything back together and the blade is flying now, lock up is rock solid and I can't shake out the closed blade from the handle. What's not to like? Locktite is drying now, so I will have it out tomorrow. What a nice day!

Thanks for your time Gents!
