REC Exclusive Spyderco Lil’ Native Scorpion in 10V to be released soon. DLC shown but not sure if they will have Satin available too. I have the Para 3 version and it’s a great looking knife and great steel. Drop date is known but I would guess this week.

Wish this was with the upcoming lightweight blade and back lock!

hmmmm... I was not in the market for a new knife, but while I no longer own a Lil Native, I believe that I still have a set of OD green micarta scales lying around. With the DLC blade and black hardware, that could look very nice.

It would definitely be a looker and 10V is a great steel, similar to K390 but with a bit more edge retention.

It's just the nickname for their colorway. Their PVD version are called avocado.

I suppose if you’re paying for an exclusive treatment of someone else’s product, you’re free to call that version whatever name you want, so long as the original name is respected, as here.

Also, the last time they released their 10v exclusive (Para 3) they allowed customers the option to engrave a scorpion logo on the blade for extra fees.

Got my order in, looks like about 160 left, right now. There wasn’t any option for the scorpion engraving but I’ve asked about it.

Got mail today. They aren't doing the scorpion engraving on this run I was told, but came with a sticker and chip.

Is the edge of yours no longer impacting the lanyard hole / clip screws?

I remember reading something to that effect last night, similar to the cruwear Stretch XL issues others were having.

I was thinking about making a separate post about it, but yes the blade is going too far in when closed and the edge was hitting the clip screw stand off.
I noticed this after opening and closing it only a couple times, the edge was dented.
This is the 3rd knife in a row I’ve had from Golden with QC issues, this one being the most significant which I consider a functional defect.
Took it apart to make sure it wasn’t going to get worse but the blade seemed to be at the end of travel, as it was in contact with the stop pin, but also touching the clip screw stand off.
All I could really find was some dlc/coating slag inside the liner holes so I de-burred all the inner surfaces, cleaned and lubed everything. I somehow managed to get a tiny bit of clearance by adjusting the stop pin, but it still sits lower into the handle than I'd like. Sharpened out the dent so should be ok going forward, really like the knife but kind of fed up with Spyderco QC, why do I have to do all this on a knife straight from their factory.
