Manix 2 Custom ideas

I would love for Manix to come out with a Hamon Line on premium steel. I have done this secondhand on my own. It is the combination of around 10 Manix 2s. I am looking to purchase a manga-cut version soon just for the blade. I wish I could buy just the blade because I would. I love this knife and have had it for over ten years.

A nice mod for the Manix 2 is to replace the clip with MXG Gear #101061 for $23+shipping. For me it really improves the feel of the knife, and it carries the same as the OEM clip. I have it on all my Manix 2s.

There are a million options for scales and all other customizing options out there but personally i would love to see a Manix with a silver bolster i think it would give a nice classic touch and make it stand out from all the others.

You can also heat mod the origins clip . As said by Apollo , there are many options , even changing out hardware can make a nice contrast . MG2

A true hamon line is created through differential hardening, by covering part of the blade in clay so it blocks the heat. Your Manix is a San Mai steel which is layered/clad steel, where the line is actually the point where both steels meet. (Sorry not trying to mansplain ya, just saying it for the group in case someone doesn't know the difference).
But yeah, I think that's about as close as we'll get to this "look" unless Spyderco gets really wild with their heat treat process.
Kershaw also do brazed composite steel that sort of mimics this look.

No offense taken, I was being a bit facetious

I'm surprised Photobucket hasn't killed my account yet. Someday these pics will probably all be gone.
