New Bob Terzuola Spyderco Collab!

#1

Post by Liquid Cobra »

I’m on Bob’s mailing list and he dropped this little nugget today:

“New models from Fox will be available by SHOT Show. This fall we have new patterned ATCF's adorned with Suz's patterns from Protech. Blade HQ will have the exclusive. Boker, Spyderco, and Tactile will also have new projects.”

That’s about as light on details as it gets, but I’m certainly excited what this could be.
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390
Grail Paramilitary 2 M390 X 2! ACHIEVED!!

Thank you for sharing. I've been wanting to add a Terzuola design to my collection, and knowing that he and Spyderco are doing another collab is great news!

The C131 Terzuola SLIPIT was one of my favorite knives ever and I always wanted to try a Starmate as well. I would be ecstatic if either of these made a return in a cool sprint run configuration.

Wow this is amazing. Bob has great designs.
I have a mint condition copy of his handbook on folding knife making that I so wish I could sell or trade to someone. It is wrapped in plastic to protect it but the plastic envelope can be removed.

I wonder what it could be? I hope it has a hollow grind like some of his older collabs with Spyderco.

Yes he has some great designs. I hope that it is a design that has a place in the lineup. If it is a Sprint Run it will be limited.

He did a reissue that I bought, it helped teach me how to make folding knives. I’m not sure if yours is an original print or not, but I’d bet the reissue would affect your price.

I had Santa Fe Stoneworks put an insert into the left handed cut out for the clip. I showed it to Bob T at a New York custom knife show he immediately recognized who did it and thought it was pretty cool.

Bob designed some knives for a company named Gryphon years ago. Cutlery Shoppe sold them for many years. Those shapea adapted into a Spyderco collab would be great.

Would love to see a reimagined version of spyderco's first collaboration folder

The Fox atcf is beautiful, but the flippers look so out of place to me

Sal Glesser and Bob Terzuola two of the great fathers of tactical survival folders. Great combo.

Really hoping the Starmate is a breadcrumb, too.

Bob T is one of the greats. I'm carrying my Eagle Rock, today:

I didn't even know about the Mariner until saw someone showcase the Mariner 2 on the tube a while back. There's a few details I think I like better on the original, but it's a pretty faithful update and obviously much more obtainable. To a degree... The price is rather prohibitive even before it begins a very expensive journey toward Norway. Just not sure I can justify it.
Don't really know much else about Terzuola or his designs, but based on how the Mariner design clicked with me, I'm looking forward to see what Spyderco and Bob have in the pipeline.
