Look like I get to answer my own question:
https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... usive/2358
With the scales being the same color, it would seem to be m390 without the coated blade.

Does not look like that tip will have any problems with penetration.

As a fellow lefty who's spent his entire life using right handed liner locks I'm not sure how'd I'd handle one made for us.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 7:29 pmLefty love is a lefty liner lock.mutantgenius wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:24 pmWhy can't they show lefty's some love and tap screw holes on both sides for a clip.![]()

After one day you would say where have you been all my life . Try a LH Military or a LH PM2 , makes life much simpler. .MG2Meadowlark wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 8:50 pmAs a fellow lefty who's spent his entire life using right handed liner locks I'm not sure how'd I'd handle one made for us.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 7:29 pmLefty love is a lefty liner lock.mutantgenius wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:24 pmWhy can't they show lefty's some love and tap screw holes on both sides for a clip.![]()

Bronze washers on this one. Think the coated M390 version has Teflon washers.

Ooofff.
This is going to be difficult to pass up.
It’s been an expensive summer already.

I like to see spyderco bringing back some classics..Now if they could just do a run of black linen micarta and steel liner c52 and c54 calys I could die a happy man
Re: Return of Lum Tanto
Does this have the original’s hamaguri profile?
Re: Return of Lum Tanto
I regret selling my m390, that knife is a tank! I'll never let go of my massad ayoob.

Think so? I've considered this over the years!
Maybe it's sufficient reason to scoop up a (lefty) Military 1 before they're history.
I have an original (rh) in s60v from my teens but maybe it's finally time for a lefty linerlock.
Re: Return of Lum Tanto
I know most people prefer the folder version, I've always liked the fixed blade version.

Re: Return of Lum Tanto
I just was never interested in the folder for one very good reason: it has a liner lock.
