It’s been almost a year since I ordered the Military 2 Fully Serrated and still nothing!! Why Sooooooo….. Long?????

That happens when you order things that haven't been released. I talked with the construction foreman on the new factory expansion last fall, he told me about a few of the problems they've run into. It started when they broke ground and discovered three coal seams under the lot. They spent four months running grout to fill the old mines before they could even finish levelling the lot. So naturally winter hit before they could get weathered in to continue working. Basically, those old coal mines threw them a year behind schedule. That's why Spyderco doesn't give release dates, because things like that happen.

Oof... talk about the set back of all set backs. Definitely a tough break for Spyderco. I can appreciate the frustration of wanting a pre-sale that was announced so long ago. But hey... this is the first I have seen of a valid reason why. It may suck for us consumers but def worse for the company. Knife Center and I have never waited this long even for a Sprint Run ?? I’ve been using Spyderco’s since the early 90’s and wanted to know if there’s some kind of hold up ?? Ty

Take this as a sign to never preorder a pocket knife again in the future.

Hokey smoke! I hope you didn't have to go a whole year without a new Spyderco. I shudder to think how awful that might be! While you're waiting for your serrated Military 2, why not grab one of the "discontinued and deeply discounted" serrated Police 4's or Endura's in K390? That might be able to tide you over until the Military 2 is released.

IIRC, the Caly 3 HAP40 sprint was in the works for almost a year (maybe more?). Regardless, it seemed like a really long time coming. It was worth the wait!

and I even bought a Native Chief LW Blacked out and Fully Serrated that I carry while on duty 
I think the M2 is the perfect size and Tip up I’m Loving BTW- I have a Plain Edge M2 also. Thank you for the responses and God Bless you guys and the USA
