I’ve been waiting for the day this was announced. I have every variant of the stretch 2 xl (including nishijin) and the lightweight is a marvel of knife design. In K390, it has the potential to be a top 5 all time carry for me personally. I knew this day would eventually come but I’m still celebrating…

Yes! Been waiting for it for years, since the VG10 came out.

I'd like to think the announcement of 2 new variations (PD1 and K390) means the Stretch2XL is selling well and is here to stay. It's an amazing design. I have it in H2 and it will be a pleasure to try it in a harder steel also once these come out.

The StretchXL has been my preferred carry for a year and a half now. Very excited for a couple new variants.

I have the Stretch XL in three different steels and this is great news . I would love to see more Salt variants but these two offerings will be a great addition . MG2

They definitely have faith in the design. The fact that we’ve seen it stock, h2, cruwear, nishijin and now k390 and pd1 lightweights…that’s GOTTA mean it’s sticking around. It’s tough to know how these models sell and what the economics are for any given model that’s not the delica, tenny or PM2. But I hope it keeps chugging along. It’d be great to see some exclusives down the road, too.

I am a fan of the Stretch 2 XL LW ( I have the VG-10 & H2 ), and glad to see these two [new] steels being added. I will say that I am anxiously awaiting a FFG Salt ( LC200N? or Magnacut? ) variant.
If one is coming, that is.

Now, if we can only get some K390 on a Manix 2 and the Shaman . . . .

Given all the glowing reviews for the XL LW, I'll likely pull the trigger down the road on a K390...

Is there any word on the update of this?? I'd like to know the status. Please share if you have anything to tell. Thank you.

I just wish that the Stretch XL K390 would be coming out in SE like the Salt . MG2

One of my favorite Spyderco designs, in one of my favorite steels. How can anyone go wrong with that?!

PS. Can we have a Magnacut Stretch 2XL? That H2 leaves a lot to be desired.
