Hello Spyderco fans.

I carried my lime M4 recently and was thinking that the rex121 should be out soon. That’s one of the only spyderco knives I’m excited for right now.

Welcome to the forum! :smlling-eyes

I figure you´re not talking about steel options for the Sage 5 LW, but rather about the lock type variants, right?

Concerning the Sage 5 LW: I don´t have one (yet), but I am still glad that it starts to get variants.
From all I can see this is (concerning MY personal preferences) what the Para 3 should have been.
So the "better Para 3" for me and the one that should have gotten all the variants instead of the Para 3.

/ Concerning locks:

- I am always hoping for more CBBL knives, so a "Sage 3.0" - CBBL instead of Bolt actionm lock - would be great

- Then another Sage 4 with a Front lock / mid backlock would be nice (honestly: I am not learned enough to know what difference there is between the Front lock and a mid backlock, if there is any...)

I’m happy with the prospect of further steel offerings beyond REX121 in the Sage5, but would prefer the Sage6 and after to return to S30V and new locks. Which locks they should be I am content to be surprised.

Any repeat of earlier Sages would have CQI, I hope. I’m thinking particularly of the Sage2, which, IMO, needs a steel insert on the titanium lockbar so the knife can be a user without worry about wear on the lockbar. The wear on mine is almost 100%.

Nice collection, toneyc.

That’s all the 11 released.

All three proposed Sage 5 models below would be nice:

— MagnaCut Yellow FRN
— LC200N Green FRN
— K390 Blue FRN

Of course, a new locking mechanism would be the icing on the cake.

Any new Sage variety is great! Would love a K390, but honestly will probably happily settle for the SPY27. Though a new lock variety would be best.

And for those that missed out, I would most enjoy a Sage 2 re-release like they did with the Sage 1. Even if it is a Sprint run.

If we're talking wish list, Sage2 CRK ceramic interface 10v or MC would be my grail :)

Sometimes, I covet those Sage 4s. If any one needs a "comeback", it's that one. I can always wish.

replace the Ti bolster with smooth polished grey G-10 and the wood with jigged brown G-10 with a little black dye. Go for something similar to this in appearance:

Do I recall Sal mentioning a plunge lock (button lock) being considered in a future Sage?
Did Michael Walker invent that too?
