How Durable Are Blue Nishijin Scales?

Just got a Stretch 2 XL Damascus sprint, and was wondering how durable are the scales? The overall build feels like a tank with the massive steel spine, but the scales feel like slightly bumpy glass over some sort of cloth diamond plate. Assuming the glassy feeling too is some sort of resin, but who knows. Knife is great other than a wide blip in the pattern around the Spydie logo on the show side. No dent in lanyard tube or evidence of contact between blade and lanyard tube.
