New Guy Here

#1

Post by Dep »

Bit by the Spyderco bug, so I decided to join. Own the following:
-1 ea Tenacious (8CR13MOV): Easy to sharpen to a razor edge. Great action. Very nice fit and finish. My general purpose utility knife.
-1 ea Tenacious (M4): Strops nicely. Razor sharp. Very nice fit and finish. My general purpose utility knife for heavy duty/prolonged cutting. (Action is not as crisp as on the Tenacious 8CR.)
-1 ea Endura 4 combo blade (VG-10): My primary EDC.
-1 ea Byrd Meadowlark 2 combo blade (8CR13MOV): My secondary EDC

Welcome! :smlling-eyes

.. I strongly assume your combo edge Endura 4 is the one in sabre grind, right? Super strong and super heavy duty, especially the tip

But: I am sure you´d love its ffg version which is just a better slicer: This would be the thin red line / thin blue line Endura 4 (ffg, comboedge and VG10).
Sadly discontinued lately, but I think you could still find one!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Yes, my Endura 4 combo is a saber grind - from above it almost looks like a bayonet blade.

Welcome to the forum. Word of advice: Hide your wallet! There are a lot of enablers, here. I'm not one of them. :eye-roll ;)
