REX121 is new to me, so I’m in, automatically.

I'm very interested. Are there any knives currently in REX 121? How does it compare to maxamet?

The Rex steels are my favorite for a number of reasons, so a Rex121 knife would be at the top of my list as sort of a "Grail Knife."
Considering what was in Sal’s pocket recently (Rex121 sage ltwt), I’m a happy camper! :D
This was one of the first posts I made here, so to know the steel’s even being tested is exciting. If this knife is made, I promise I will use it to help prepare a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil.
Of course, I’m in!
rex121 is the king of steel, but nature’s teeth have been cutting for hundreds of millions of years and counting

There are a few knives in front of it, but there’s a good chance this is my first Sage.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Same. I like the sage LW but I don’t own one yet as I’ve always thought it a bit small and S30V is not my favourite. Rex121 would be fun to try in a smaller blade.

Don´t think REX 121 is something I absoutely have to try, but I am honestly glad that burnt orange comes back as a handle color!

I figure for all "REX -steels" - ? (Like previously for REX 45, which I love (and the similar HAP40 of course)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

No link or reference in the OP, is this something really being offered, if so where? Or is this another "wouldn't it be neat" type thread?

Yeah. I will likely buy one to try the steel but I find burnt orange particularly awful as well.

I don't have any Sage 5 LW anymore, so it depends on pricing, either way I'm gonna buy the Maxamet or REX121 as soon as one of them is available !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

It's funny how some (like me) love burnt orange and some almost "hate" it.

Though I am afraid I could be in the minority here and more folks don't like the color than do...

I have no problem with the color , like it on my HAP40 Delica Wharnie. It would be an easy fix if the color did not appeal to me . MG2
