Mule Dock

needed a dock for parking 7 mules, my new 3D printer answered the call.
FreeCad -> PrusaSlicer -> AnyCubic Kobra 2 Pro -> AnyCubic std PLA
Done in PLA thermoplastic, it's too brittle for the long term but ok for prototype.
Took 3H 15m, used up 135 feet of PLA, and worked the 1st time !!

Very cool! I could see this being adapted to a wall-mount of some sorts? Would be very handy.

The mule dock model was a major step up the learning curve for me.
My first functional design was a rectangular pocket knife holder (X9), six slots hold the awesome spydie hole..

xnmw: good idea, for the wall, it needs a lid/keeper of some sort to keep them from falling out in a CA earth quake..
a decent lid could also provide a handle for transport, ah the fun of growing requirements ..

Very cool rack! I really like the caddy for folders, too. I could really use something like that in my EDS (every day Storage )

Is it cheating if I bought mine on Amazon becuz I don't have a 3D printer? There's a few reasons why I bought this style. First it breaks down and I can always clean all the parts. Second I can always add rock salt inside the container to weigh it down to the counter. Now I like using rock salt in mine to because rock salt is one of the best materials to absorb moisture from the air. The cutting edges are contained within a weighed down plastic container which in my opinion is safer than a magnetic strip. And there's more freedom on where it stays in the kitchen. And I personally enjoying being able to see thru the plastic and see the blade.

That is very cool! I wonder about stacking them, if I have more than 7 mules (I think I do but not many more)

defenestrate: stacking is a great idea, requires one to obtain many more mules for test & analysis !!
Actually, vertical stress would be an issue, and interlocking layers would also be nice.
Already have a mini-lid done that is semi-secure, but not currently worthy of stacking.
