My first Spyderco knife

#1

Post by mpgtsm »

I just got a PM2 CruCarta. I am amazed at the quality and beauty, right out of the box. The action is buttery smooth. What really surprised me was the edge. It looks beautiful, and it’s shaving sharp. It’s an amazing value, and the perfect edc for me.

Welcome! My first knife was also a pm2. It's still my favorite model. Cruwear is a great steel too. Nice first pick. Cheers

Congrats on the first Spyderco and a good, serious choice. If you stay around here long, that won't be your only Spyderco.

Your first Spydie is always a special one. Just know that after you use it a while you will be curious about others. We are ALL familiar with Alice and her rabbit hole....

Nice! :smlling-eyes

If I was in the market for another PM2 (have the "base" S30V one, currently lend to a friend) yours would be the version I´d pick!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

It was recommended by someone I highly respect, who has an incredible amount of experience with knives and sharpening. I’m so glad I got it. It’s the perfect edc. I still want a black tanto PM2 one day though.

Must be a great friend. I can’t see lending a knife to one of my friends😁
