Temu - 33 Layer Damascus VG10 Core

So, I had received those neat little mini blades for Christmas from my little brother & when I asked where he got them, he told me that his wife had bought them from Temu. I had never heard of Temu until then.
So, I went to Temu to see about maybe getting some more of those little mini knives and while I was there, I would up getting an 8" Cleaver/chef knife - so, I don't even think this thing has a brand name - all I can get is that it's made in China by so and so - just initials- but, it's supposedly 33 layer Damascus with a VG10 Core. Price was $44 I think? But, I gotta tell ya, this may be the sharpest damned knife I've ever had outta the box! And, it's extremely nice for $44! I also can not find one bad review about it, and there's plenty of reviews with pics.
It's supposedly sharpened 15° per side - see pics below- if this thing holds an edge well- if the core really is VG10, then I'll buy the whole set. The balance is really not that good but for the $ I digress.
They did an excellent job sharpening it. Nice and even and just ridiculously sharp.
I wasn't expecting much & I'm still not convinced but, if it performs well and holds that edge well then that's one heckuva deal.
Here's some pics. I'll keep yall posted on how she performs. I've gotta a Edge Works Chef in Nitro-V comin in tomorrow- the guys from DLT rave about those. They and the owner Jason Thune say those are the sharpest outta the box kitchen knives they've ever seen. We shall see.
Anyways, here's some pics

Well, this thing is very well worth $44!
After 3 hours of cutting and slicing she's still gtg!(just as sharp as ever)
I must've cut up 4 sirloin's 1 New York (not whole loins, just steaks) a pounds of chicken breast,
A bunch of veggies to include a red/purple cabbage and about 6 big garlic cloves - this thing cuts and slices super nice.

Welp, the Edge Knife Works 8" Chef in Nitro-V came in yesterday but, the tip was bent & broken off. I'm sending it back. Didn't use it either.
That was a real bummer.
Btw, the $44 knife felt sharper outta the box

Guys, this $40 Chinese 33 layer Damascus with a vg10 core (if it really is) cuts like a freakin dream!
It's better than Tojiro DP! Never dreamed I would say that!
I went ahead ordered 2 more blades. An 8" Chef and a 5" utility blade..
Beats all I've ever seen.

It's actually Temu, Dan.
It's made in China but, the reviews are stellar and they cut like an s.o.b.!
Liked it so much, I ordered 2 more...

Ok to buy from Temu but don’t download the app (read a bit into it a while back)
Plenty on google about it.

Have bought a few things over time with a 50-50 of things being good or rubbish quality. Also a 50-50 chance of the thing ordered being the same as the picture.

Don’t do Temu anymore as last parcel was like a metal rattling football with everything inside the parcel scratched and bent as no packaging at all for anything. Pity it was all measuring tools for knifemaking.

No doubt! I bought a few other things besides the knife & you nailed it, 😆 some was pure **** junk! And, I knew better but, for $5? I was just having a little fun.
But, I'm just REALLY HOPING that these next 2 knives are as good as the first!
Besides that, I'm done with Temu
Too many emails and such 😆

A student of mine gifted me one of their knives a while back. He had won it as a prize in a 3 gun event. I admit I haven't really used it much. I think it's too pretty for me to want to beat on it.

Guys, these Temu knives are just amazing for what they cost.
The Chef knife didn't come hardly as sharp as the first but, man did it sharpen up nicely!
They are really keeping their edge too.
Here's the Chefs & Utility I got. The Chef was like $30 and the Utility $16 I think? Just outstanding value!
If I had to say, I'd say it's 100% a VG10 Core as they claim it to be. I actually like it better than my Tojiro DP.
