Saw the news on KC's FB page. Anyone know how much the prices will go up?
Too bad the CruCarta Manix hasn't hit dealer shelves yet

My mind's in the same place; just ordered a K390 Delica from National to get a little bit more of that steel in hand before prices jump. Almost added some SPY27 as well but trying to save some hobby money for the Bodacious.
(the Benchmade price jump is also concerning; the last time we were in an outdoor supply store my wife specifically mentioned liking the Mini Crooked River

)

In the world of today Spyderco's price increases are the least worrysome on my mind. Sure if its to bad i need to buy a spydie less a year. But that is that then.
I think Sal will understand that his fans income isnt growing at the same pase the price increases on every single buyable thing is. Dont think its much better in the US or other places?

Kind of annoying to see another price increase when inflation is not really to account for it.

I’m sure Spyderco has tried to keep costs down but obviously they’ve lost the battle. I wonder if they’ve automated everything that can be automated? Robots get paid the same in USA and Taiwan as they do in China.
There is one thing Spyderco can do for us: do away with MAP.

When I see what people are paying for tons of titanium frame locks in the marketplace I don't have a problem with the prices Spyderco charges for the many models in the many steels that they offer. That is what attracted me to the brand.

They will never do that. Personally i wish they would do away msrp the only thing it does is make spydies extremely expensive internationally compared to the prices in the US. But after asking for many years i guess that is also a point they will never change.

As far as i learned by talking on local forums its all about the taxes.
Customs always take msrp as the real price on everything that has it because 21% on msrp or on map is a good difference for there pockets. There are slight differences between the country’s because not every one has the 21% my country has. But still in the end all of them do it.
Our shops try to compensate and take less profit on some models. Most of the time its the cheaper and the high end spydies that are most affected. The middle priced ones are the best sellers so they lower they’re profits slightly and make up with it while selling quantity.
So If i see the prices you guys mention at times i literally fall of my seat.

It is what it is. The market will sort it out.
Thankful for MAP holidays.

I know I’m a distinct outlier in this forum, but I really don’t care, at all, about the vast selection of steels that Spyderco offers. Honestly, an interesting design, in a respectable steel with titanium handles, is much more desirable to me than a FRN folder in 5 different super-steels that I can’t possibly tell apart in any realistic use scenario. To me, there is no possible blade, short of a lightsaber, that makes up for the cheap feeling of FRN. I guess that’s why I find myself only buying the titanium frame lock designs out of Taichung.

Spyderco has to pay for the Golden, CO. plant expansion somehow.

They get us hooked with the new catalog, then two weeks later hit us with price increases. We've been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok. With that said, how soon until the next Reveal?

Even the FRN models made in Japan (not a fan of linerless FRN models) are getting pricey and that’s before any 2024 price increases. Currently, Police4 K390 FRN has a U.S. street price of $175.70! There were no price increases on Japanese models in 2023 mostly due to the exchange rate.
Taichung titanium frame locks are really nice but again very pricey even before any 2024 price increases. Currently, SpydieChef has a U.S. street price of $282.80!

Spyderco has removed all price lists from past Product Guides and Reveals.
