EXTREMELY disappointed with Spyderco. Update: Resolved!

#1

Post by ramblinwreck »

Just got my $400 premium mystery box today and I did not get one single “premium” knife. The total of the four knives I received isn’t even $250. This has to be a mistake right? This is leaving such a bad taste in my mouth as I feel ripped off. Should I call customer service Monday?

I’m so mad now that I’m causing double posts instead of an edit :(

Yes, you should contact their customer service. They always make good on stuff like that, it's not in their interest to rip off people, I'm sure they'll be able to sort that out with you.

Sorry you got such an unpleasant surprise when opening the box though
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Man, what a letdown. I’m sure they will make it right. It’s an obvious mistake.

That does suck, just call on Monday and they should take care of you.

On the good side maybe the $400 box you should have got is now coming to my house on Tuesday and I only paid $250 for the basic box.

Just hopefully trying to make some people laugh. My luck I will end up with two vg10 FRN knives and a kitchen knife.

I appreciate your humor, but I’m still pretty bummed. Kind of ruined my weekend, tbh.

I know it did, **** if I get that weird blue knife valued at $158 in my box I will be bummed even if it does add up to $250. I am 99% sure Spyderco will make it right and take care of you on Monday.

I sure hope so, but I’m worried I get the “sorry sir, it’s luck of the draw” response from customer service. We will see.

Maybe you can put off upsetting yourself until they give you the “sorry sir, it’s luck of the draw” response. I doubt they will but that is just my opinion. :)

In the mean time do some chores, go out with friends, exercise , whatever you want. You seem to want to make yourself more miserable as is.

Also, it's a good rule of thumb to contact whoever you have the issue(whether in life or a transaction relationship) with instead of posting on the internet about it first.

Excuse me, I have every right to post my disappointment online. Don’t worry about it.

Right, because my example is totally what is wrong with the world today 🙄 Instead, bash me because I clearly didn’t get what I ordered and was disappointed. You sound like the problem.
