Why is it asking for a password?

I’m sooooooo excited and hope this new site works good. I was beyond bummed out at the last one and came away empty handed after roughly 4 hours of trying over and over.
So just to be clear it’ll be basically a “guest checkout” and won’t need a login or anything correct?

Spyderco, you are very brave and dedicated to your customers!! All the whining and complaining from the previous online sales...kudos to you! Munny is going to blow this thread up like no tomorrow.

Is this “special events” website a third-party web hosting service?

If it is, will there be any price increases to help Spyderco offset the cost of using a third-party web hosting service? (I think there should be ) Or will the prices be the same as they are at the traditional in person sale?

Will there be any inventory of certain models that is depleted through this online sale, making them unavailable during the next OPFocus Seconds Sale in the spring or Traditional Seconds Sale next November?

Will the selection of inventory be comparable to the past online seconds sales?

Shopify... It should be a step in the right direction.

For those of us who have not had the pleasure of participating in these events before, what type of knives are available? Are there recent exclusives? Any archived knives? Or is it mainly current production knives that don't quite meet manufacturer standards for some reason or another? Thanks for input from those who know.

Will the mystery boxes be the same as last time 3 knife box $250 and 2 knife box for $150?

Also since I could not check out after 6 hours on the last sale can I get the password for the site 5 seconds earlier? Haha. Would probably just get a 3 knife mystery box if offered.
