Anybody know if there is a Yojimbo 1 re release on the horizon?

I saw a YouTube Short from Spyderco of the Yojimbo 1. I'm sure hoping that means that a re release is coming soon. Anybody know anything?

Haven't heard any news but I'd be interested. The ergos worked better for me than gen 2. Could use an updated clip though IMO.

That video simply shows a gen-1 Yojimbo. It doesn't say anything about re-introducing it.

Our in-house videographer does "blade of the day" videos of various Spyderco knives and likes featuring discontinued models. Personally, I think those are best reserved for "Throwback Thursdays" so people know its a retro reference, but my realm of influence is small. It's both nice and disconcerting to know I was right...

All I have to say is . I was soooo wishing that they were going to do a re release. To me that model is perfect. I do like the 2 also but number one is the one.

I think I paid $85 for my old smurf. If I could buy back some of the spydies I sold off over the years, I think that and my old lil temp s60v leaf would be my first two picks.
