Dragonfly Salt 2; Sharp Holes ?

#1

Post by Murphy Slaw »

I ordered a Dragonfly for my wife and the hole is rather "edgy". My hands are tougher than hers, but even I noticed it. How would you ease that edge? I sorta did a search and didn't see anything, but I get side tracked easily....

It took Knifecenter 3 days to ship it, and then the Labor day weekend slowed it down, so I don't want to send it back and wait 3 weeks for her to get another one, but I don't want to wreck the looks.

Ideas?

You're welcome. I often use Google to search through Spyderco Forum topics, as it gives me more refined results.

Good luck with your modifications.

The sharp edges helps at deploying it.
I have a Spyderco with smooth edges which is more of a struggle to deploy.

I would keep the edges sharp or smoothen it only a TINY bit. Better less than more.

My new Dragonfly Salt is the same way. I would not call it sharp but much more of an edge than my other models. It does seem to help deploy it on a smaller knife.

I take one of the rods from my Sharpmaker and stick it in the hole and run it around the edges. Sandpaper on a pencil will work, too.
