If you truly believe the NFL is rigged, scripted, or not exciting anymore…why watch it? Serious question for the complainers here. No judgement.

Well, I do think it’s still entertaining to watch. I just believe it’s a very dishonest product now.

Also, rigged and scripted have different meanings. I do not think the games are scripted play by play; that would be impossible. In my opinion though, there are unquestionable instances where the refs have entirely too much influence over the outcome of the game. I’m all done giving them the benefit of the doubt. With the amount of money involved, to me it feels naive to think the league doesn’t manipulate the way some of these games go.

Offensive holding used to be a huge one. It’s the one penalty that can be called on almost every single play. The refs would often kill momentous drives with a phantom offensive holding call. But “oh how convenient” its not a phantom call because every offensive lineman grabs a handful of jersey the second they contact the D lineman, on every play.

Speaking of old timers>> the Chiefs just got back Mecole Hardman from the Jets and it also looks like Frank Clark will be returning soon as well. And Mr. Hardman brings serious speed to the table as well.

It's really strange that Hardman didn't work out for the Jets and Clark didn't work out for the Broncos. I think Sean Payton is really going to deeply regret taking that HC job when it's all said and done. Ever since Mr. Ed left Denver>> oh excuse me I meant to say John Elway :squinting-tongue that team seems to have really lost their identity.

Where as the Jets I do think will be a serious contender before too long.

OK it's time I stick my neck out just a bit. On tonight's game with the Dolphins and Eagles I'm picking Miami to win by at least 10 points. I'm picking Tyreek Hill to have a 200+ yard game and for RB Mostert to rack up at least a 130 yards rushing. I do believe that TUA will rack up 400+ yards passing.

The Dolphins are either going to blow out the Eagles or they are going to have an embarrassing loss>> there won't be anything in between. That should indeed be the game of the week in the NFL for sure. I was also surprised to see the Bills behind the Pats when I just got home. I'm also surprised to see the Detroit Lions being stomped by the Ravens 28 to zip. A Most interesting week in the NFL. Oh by the way I'm taking the Chiefs over the Chargers by 7 later this afternoon.

Really suprised to see the Lions get blown out by the Ravens
Also, I hope Philadelphia beats the brakes off the Dolphins
Bills lose to the Pats...
Man could have really win some money on that game I would imagine...

Feels so good to get a win after the start of the season the Pats have had! Especially over the Bills!

Great atmosphere in the stadium today! Without actually knowing, it definitely didn’t feel like they were 1-5 going into this game. First win at home since the renovations too.

I just now realized that was his 300th win
That's incredible Nick. Congratulations on seeing that- especially against Josh Allen & the Bills

Well it wasn't pretty but we'll take it. The Chiefs just barely squeaked by the Chargers 31-14. I'm hoping they don't blow it against Denver next week. There's been a few upsets thus far into the season and the Chiefs certainly aren't immune to those. The return of Mecole Hardman really paid a dividend and Rashee Rice looks to be Mahomes newest weapon.

Gonna be a great game Dolphins vs Eagles. I'm staying with the Dolphins to win by 10 or more. Tyreek Hill's hot streak will continue and RB Mostert will also have a great game I'm sure. TUA is getting better and more confident each game. The Eagles are a great team too however but they will have to hit on all 8 cylinders to beat Hill & Co.

Definitely a special one! The Patriots inducted their old assistant coach Dante Scarnecchia and Mike Vrabel into the Patriots Hall of Fame yesterday as well. Winning today really capped off the whole weekend as a success for the Patriots!

They did a quick Hall of Fame ceremony at halftime today too. It was funny seeing a current head coach for another team, in stadium and cheering for a competing team. :grin-squint

———

Also, the Eagles vs Dolphins SNF game just kicked off and the Eagles kelly green throwback uniforms are so nice! I love their helmets but the whole uniform is just beautiful! Love the old eagle logo too; The throwback logos always have so much character.

Last night's game was great!
Not only because the Eagles won but because of their uniforms!
That was a very, very pleasant surprise!
That really did take me make to 1982 - of course, I remember well the Super Bowl they lost to the Oakland Raiders. I was actually for the Eagles
But, I really came to love watchin Jim Plunkett and the Raiders play.
At any rate, a very fun trip down memory lane to be sure.
