Joe, I'm 12 minutes on to Whitlocks podcast, and I really like it!!
Gambling is a huge part of the problem too.
Lol, and I totally understand their frustration with Shanahan!

Yeah, gambling... :eye-roll

NC has that gambling thing starting up here soon. :eye-roll

Yessir! I had heard on the radio about the last day to sign up to be a bookie!
Jim, NC was one of the last States to enact a lottery! Now, we're all in I guess 😔
I mean I remember very well the lottery having a hard time passing in NC - you had men like Hugh Morton (owner of Grandfather Mtn) who was really against it. I was too! Still am!
But, eventually like you say, and I as well, big money will win out. Period.

Yup, nothing happens unless the 1% wants it to happen.

All the 99% are is MONEY to get dropped in the big funnel to make the 1% even more insanely rich than they already are.

Well this is going to be a rather miserable OFF SEASON for the Chiefs. First off they have serious contract issues with L'Jarius Sneed and Chris Jones. The Chiefs can ill-afford to lose either one of them. And I seriously doubt if they can keep both of them. I truly believe that Mr. Sneed will be wearing a Broncos or Raiders uniform in the 2024 season.

Coupled with the fact that they only have 6 draft picks due to trades and other transactions>> and they have none past the 5th round. That is important because we got Isaiah Pacheco in round 7 in the 2022 draft along with a couple of other defensive stalwarts. The Chiefs always do well in the later rounds of the Draft.

The Chiefs might be seriously behind the 8 ball this season for a multitude of reasons. Not to mention that Travis Kelce is not getting any younger. And they are seriously deficient in the wide receiver sector. But I thought this past season that they would be "ONE & DONE" in the playoffs. Because their play in the regular season was mediocre at best. So maybe I don't know anything.

I dunno Joe.
You got a healthy Patty Mahomes - you got a legitimate shot at another Super Bowl.
And, KC does such a good job at drafting and trading. I wouldn't worry too much, Joe.
OTOH, I'm worryin my *** off. They say Tomlin really likes Justin Fields. If the Steelers wind up with him, I'm done 😆
& I'll guarantee 💯 Mike Tomlin will suffer his 1st losing season with the Steelers.
I really hope the Rooney's reach out to Kirk Cousins

Well I will agree with you that Brett Veach has been a genius with the Draft and especially that 2022 Draft with Karlaftis, McDuffie, Chenal, Pacheco among a couple of others that have all been great so far.

Also they are going to need a serious back up QB to Patrick Mahomes. Blaine Gabbert is not that man. If Veach can do in the 2024 Draft as good as he did in the 2022 Draft then maybe they can have a shot at another title in the upcoming season.

Not surprising at all that Barkley signed with the Eagles. Not in today's N.F.L.
Let Philadelphia deal with all his injuries now.
I guarantee he won't go 6 games without injuring something. - ya know what, scratch that, Philly has natural grass - I'll say 12 games 😃

Barkley reminds me of a horse - a well built Thoroughbred- but, like all horses very, very, fragile.

Now the Giants will go sign Zeke! :grin-squint

(I actually wouldn’t mind Zeke back on the Pats. At least he had the integrity to put in effort when he was on the field last year. Something that can’t be said for most of last years Pats players.)

Giants and Patriots are so terrible that they couldn't combine their rosters, take the best players from all positions and form a team between the two of them and they STILL wouldn't make the playoffs!

Well it looks as though your Steelers will be having Russell Wilson this next season as QB. But that team needs a lot more repair overall. And they haven't really done that good in the DRAFT for the past 3 years or so.

I would say that if Mike Tomlin doesn't at least get the Steelers deep in the playoffs next season they have to seriously consider a new head coach as well. I think that Eric Bieniemy would be a great fit for the Steelers HC job.

I'm not too optimistic about Russell Wilson as QB. But maybe the change in scenery will do him good.

LOL! Unfortunately, that’s too true. The Patriots might have the worst offense in the league at the moment. Still a lot of time to build up the roster but I think it’s safe to say they won’t be doing it through free agency. Not sure I trust them with the 3rd overall pick either! :grimace
