Enuff 2 question

Hi all,
I really want an Enuff 2 K390 for work, but I can’t find anywhere if the FRN handles are sealed on to prevent corrosion underneath them. Does anybody who owns one know if the handles are epoxied on as well as riveted? (Or anyone from Spyderco who might see this

)
Living in the tropics makes caring for K390 I already own a bit of a labour of love, but I really enjoy the steel. If I can keep the rust out of the handle I’ll buy one in a heartbeat.
Thanks in advance,
Al

There’s neither sealant nor rivets, the scales are fastened with T6 torx screws and you can remove them to clean/treat underneath if that suits your maintenance needs.

Oh brilliant! I thought they were riveted.

You can try removing the scales and coating the tang in something like frog lube, then install the scales. That should help with any corrosion under the scales.

Something I should have done when I got the knife. Oh well. I was able to clean it up pretty good. Coated it mineral oil. I'll see what it looks like next time I take it apart.

I seated my Enuff's scales on very thin double sided 3M adhesive tape, in my experience the tape is PH neutral enuff

and should prevent Corrosion under the scales making it hard for liquids and oxygen getting under.
