Haven't tried to buy a Mule in a while. So, this morning I put a 15V in my cart and tried to log in and it said my account is inactive :') I reset my password and tried again, still inactive. Oh well. I look forward to seeing what you guys do with your 15V Mules.
I got 2 mate ;) we can work something out :')
Thank you mate! You're a very kind man. It's totally ok though. I just thought it was kinda' funny to get that message from the Spyderco store site. I mean, I'm a patch wearing member of the Mule Team Army and coincidentally right now someone there in Golden is assessing my folder prototype that they received from me last week. I wasn't expecting my login to be denied...but come to think of it... :astonished maybe that's what got me locked out... someone probably cut their finger closing my knife :flushed .

Realistically, I have too many of my own knives to complete as it is. I was just going to make an exception for this Mule because of my friend Shawn Houston's involvement with the H/T, but I'm really ok with taking the fact that the order didn't work out as a sign I need to stay focused on my progress.

I'd rather see you make 2 handles anyway. I really enjoy seeing the progress you're making and the great work you're producing. I look forward to seeing what you do with them.

Nice to see there was enough to last several hours.

Now I need to patiently wait for some more Halpern Contoured Micarta to be made or for the Etsy shops to come back.

Jeez, update your site, Spyderco. Put all the shipping options, payment info, etc. on one page. I feel like it's 1998 and I'm on dial-up watching the page load haha
Believe it or not, that's by design. Having a multi-page checkout helps to prevent purchases from bots. Sadly, bots do exist, and with every highly anticipated drop, there are more and more of them trying to complete purchases. We know it takes a little more patience from our customers, but we'd rather these end up in the hands of people who really want them instead of those who only wish to profit from the demand.

There are other means to prevent bots, and we use those, too, but a multi-layer approach seems to keep them at bay and unsuccessful at profiting off of our customers.

Kristi
Ah, I was mainly joking, but that's good to know actually! Glad Spyderco does that.

Now if we could get third-party vendors to do that with sprint runs...

My limited Mea Culpa: These lasted longer than I guessed they would, but considering how long other Mules have lingered on the shelves (AEB-L still available for example) this is still a fast sell out taking into consideration the new larger runs of Mules. Kudos to Spyderco!

I'm not going to apologize for trying to get people ready for a fast sell out. It's better than missing out, right?

Ahhhhh, I had to drive my wife to the airport this morning and totally forgot about the drop today. I usually set an alarm in my phone so I don't miss them but didn't do it this time.

Congratz to everyone who got one. I look forward to hearing how 15V compares to the other recent steel drops.

Prices are crazy for the MagnaCut Mules on the secondary market. Seen them for $300-$350 just for the knife on eBay.

I was tempted to get a 15V but I rarely Cary fixed blade knives, already have a Manix 15V to use and a Z-Wear Mule to use. This would be totally something just to collect for me, still was very tempted.
Endura AUS-8, Manix 2 S30V, Alcyone BD1N, PM2 Micarta Cruwear, Native 5 Maxamet (2nd), Para 3 Maxamet (2nd), Magnacut Mule, Z-Wear Mule, BBB 15V Manix 2, REC PM3 10V Satin, Dragonfly Salt 2, GB2 M4.

I actually got a 15v shaman not that long ago but I figured that the 15v Mule will be my deer and small game dressing, skinning, and dismemberment knife. Should be a useful edge retention and toughness test. I mainly want a Magnacut Mule to store in a pack so I can have a good knife steel that I don't have to worry about corrosion with if I forget to do maintenance.

On right at 9am MDT and snagged one alongside a dragonfly sb. The site took about a min to load each page, and 404'd on order placement, but then kicked through on refresh. Overall no major complaints and thrilled for the opty to try 15v after missing the folder sprints.

Mule Team is such a great program for the community. Thank you for running it Sal, Tazkrysti, and team.

That's interesting, who would have guessed. I too was thinking, "dang, I wish I could just do all this on one page", but now that I know this is intentional, I am behind it all the way.

Several times along the way my browser timed out, but "reload" was the method to keep the ball rolling. I was warned that a form might be getting submitted twice, but it all worked out just fine in the end.

So, thanks to you, and everyone at Spyderco for making this happen.
