Left-handed Police w/carbon fiber scales

#1

Post by webb264 »

Hi all,
Back in the 90's I purchased a left-handed Police, serrated blade, with carbon fiber scales. I have rarely if ever actually used it. Is it valuable? I understand they're kind of rare. I would consider selling it but would like to know what you Spyderco aficionados think is a fair asking price. Thanks for your consideration. This is my first post to a knife forum and thought I'd start here.

Must be G10. Carbon fiber wasn’t until 2003.

The CF Police was made in 2003 , only 150 left hand models were made in PE and SE each . The rest were right hand variants . The retail was $189.95 at that time , a total of 1,500 pieces were made . I had one , it was one of the prettiest knives in my collection . MG2

Check the steel stamp. The CF Sprint in 2003 was VG-10, the G-10 models in the 90's were either Gin-1 or ATS-55.

I've seen LH CF Police listed on eBay for $1200, but I haven't seen any fetch that much. I'd probably ask for $700 and settle for $600. Probably why I only have one CF Police in my collection.
