A fellow collector's recent addition is this J.Rodgers & Sons pocket bowie.
He visited me today for some knife talk and a cup of coffee, and i just had to take a few snapshots of this old school Sheffield made gem.

I’ve read that about 1890 was when England required country of origin labeling on manufactured goods. If that’s right, this knife pre dates that, as it only has Sheffield stamped on the tang.

Looks really nice. A modern quality knife like that would set you back a pretty penny. It is practical, too.
