You can play w them in your home, and carry them on your own property. Don't step off your sidewalk with it.

But you cannot take them OFF your property, or carry them concealed, unless you are police/mil/etc.

And don't carry in public, at all.

2" or smaller are legal to carry anyway you like.

Something like this would be legal to carry in a lot of California.

Depending on where you live, who you are, and what kind of life you lead… it might be fine anyway. I’ve never had an officer ask me what’s in my pocket.

Why even carry a shot tie. Because most Cops only know part of laws. Do you need the aggravation?
