I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I will never be able to resist this combo. On a Native 5? I'd sell blood if I had to.

That's the first smooth G10 model I think I've been tempted by.

Oooh! I’ve not been tempted by a Native 5 until now.

Now I’m very tempted!

$194 with tax is steep. I paid less for my S90V CF model (on sale of course)

I like KC's smooth G10. I bought 2 of the satin Cruwear Natives (end of 2019, start of 2020). They were $149 then.

I would consider this if I didn't just get the DLT Cruwear Endela.

Pretty big price difference between FRN and G10.

I just bought a knife last month but this is a DLC coated G10 native that is cheaper than the standard G10?! This drop is hard to ignore.

Too many cool exclusives dropping and available at the same time! How to pick and choose?! Glad to see the G10 native getting some love. I wonder if the knife joker will be doing a green one

Oh man this is tough. I want this steel in this model. But will try and hold out with hopes KnifeJoker does theirs. I think that one is the best looking version. Hope it doesn't end up biting me (or is that byte-ing me?)

I’m surprised people dig that smooth G-10.

I got one of the smooth G-10 Cruwear para 3’s back when they came out. After the 3rd time dropping it and almost landing on my toe, it went straight back into the box and hasn’t been taken out since.

I thought smooth titanium handles were slick, those smooth G-10’s are a whole other level of slippery. No thank you.

Yeah me too. Well....second I guess since I have the Smock with smooth G10

I actually like the smooth G10 more than I thought I would. I was tempted to buy this one but then I saw the price and decided I don't need another Native 5 that bad. It made me realize that I really need to carry one of the N5s I already have

I see people complain about how slippery the smooth knives are. I've never had an issue with it any knife slipping out of my hands. I guess I just have sticky fingers 😁

I really like full on polished G10 so this isn't really a big leap. If the screws weren't so close to the edges I'd probably try to polish and contour it.

I have no experience with smooth G10, but I think I would not like it on a Native.

Said it before: In my particular hand the Native feels great when just holding it or in light cutting, but when grpping it harder and doing more higher-resistance cuts, it starts to feel a bit unstable and to "shift and roll" - and this already with the grippy FRN version I had.
Smooth G10 would not exactly make this any better I guess...

Otherwise: Cool knife!! (As the Native is anyway, especially its looks!)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

It probably wouldn’t be too bad on a knife like this with a back lock.
My issue with the smooth G-10 was mainly on a compression lock knife, where you have to change your hand position to sort of a pinch grip to activate the lock, that’s when I would drop it.

Before the smooth g-10 para 3, I can only remember ever dropping a knife once, way back when I was younger.
