Swick 2 and 4

#1

Post by Polecat »

Gang, I have older leaf blade Swick, not sure if its 2 or 4? Need to measure. My question is how are the current swick 5 and 6 scales attached? Do all Swicks share a common handle dimension? Lastly, who makes custome swick scales? Or can I purchase new ones from factoey like those on the 5 and 6.

Thanks,
Dave

I don’t have my older models handy at the moment, but I can tell you that the handle dimensions have changed between models. I bought aftermarket scales that do not fit the two models I have. I’d have to check, but I think I have a Swick 1 and two Swick 2.

The Swick scales that are/were available at Halpern only fit the exact model specified.

The Swick model concept has changed with each variation over a 22 year period. It was mostly in the Ergos that the refinements developed. The 5 & 6 were the models that I felt were where I wanted them to be. The sheaths are challenging as a neck knife must be secure.

I did speak with Eric on future production and they will probably not made again until after the construction is complete. We have a lot of models on which to catch up.
