Is this supposed to be here?

I bought an Endura in CPM-20CV and the lockbar wasn't fully seating into the blade notch, I took it apart to check it out and found this L-shaped hole next to the blade pin. Has anyone else seen this?

If I recall correctly, blade tang markings like that are done as a means of marking blade steel type during manufacturing.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

I know nothing about back locks but that does not look like much lockup.

It's not a mark, its a hole all the way through, I'm thinking they accidentally started cutting the lock notch in the wrong place.

It is a mark in that it marks what steel type is used. It's done on the laser cutter as the steel is already on the table as the blades are cut out and a hole through the steel cannot be ground off and lost. Seem pretty efficient to me.

Here is Sal's response to a similar thread:

It's not a mistake. They use the mark to determine the steel being used. We use so many steels that when in process, the blades are hard to tell apart.

There was thread going on here a year or two ago about this. It's done intentionally for some reason, identification mark or something.

EDIT - I see Jim got to it before I could!
