I'd be thrilled if Spyderco would release any new variants of the Sage 4!

Now we’re talking! The re-release of the Sage 1 traded CF for G10. Would you want the exact same Sage 4 as release , or would a new handle material would be okay with you?

As for the next Sage, I’d like to see something from Demko. He talked about an updated Triad lock that he has the rights to. Of course, there’s always the Shark lock.

I'd be happy with any form of the Sage 4. I sold mine in the great knife purge for no reason. I'm sad... :-||

I think as far as the Sage series go; Spyderco will only make one of the locks they use or have used. So Demko is probably not an option.

Did not know that. I assumed that the Sage was their to pay hommage to famous knife maker’s and their locks. Didn’t know Spyderco needed to use it first. Thanks for the info.

The comp lock is sooo good on my Sage 5, I would love some more sprint runs in it.

You were sort of right. The Sage series was started to showcase locks. Walker liner lock, Reeve integral lock, Blackie Collins Bolt action lock, Al Mar/McBurnette front lock (or mid-backlock if you prefer), the Glesser Compression lock and there could be more in the pipeline, assuming they don't get sidetracked making more versions of the ones they've already done.

Sage 4 is one of those grails that even if you have the money to burn, you'd still be hard-pressed to find one out there.

In for a sprint with the same bolsters and laminated handles but in another steel.

It's the best version of the comp lock so far IMO!

I'm still hoping for a button lock Sage6.

BUT, the rebirth of the Sage1 got me thinking about a re-release of the Sage2 in a tool steel like 10v, or perhaps the Salt treatment in Magnacut?!? :cheap-sunglasses I freaking love the Sage2.

I’d vote more variations of Sage 5. It’s perfect. Now let’s do it in micarta, titanium, g10

I think as cool as it would be to have a variation of the Sage 4, for all of us that missed out. But, it's such a unique knife as it is for the Spyderco lineup, I think it should never be changed.

Sage 5 was my 2nd ever Spyderco knife, a major reason I instantly got hooked...and this place helped. Silly me, making an account asking a question about a camping folder haha, led down quite the rabbit hole!!

Another vote for the Sage 2. I would buy it no matter which steel it comes with.

I’m just hoping for more Sage 5 lightweight exclusives and/or sprints.

I actually have brand new sets of carbon fiber and micarta scales lying in wait for the next Sage 5 lightweight, whenever that may be.

A crucarta Sage 5 lightweight is my holy grail 3” Spyderco.
Crucarta: Shaman (x2), Manix 2, Lil Native, Delica, GB2 & PM2
Notable: 52100 and Cruwear Millie. “15v-arta” Shaman. REC Manix. K-carta Endura, P4, Dragonfly and Delica.
Favorites: Shaman, Sage 5 lightweight, Sheeps Caribbean, Manix, Endela and all things Stretch

My vote is for a sage 4. Doesn’t need to be fancy, even just g10 would be fine

I would like to see any Sage 5 LW Sprint Run so it is available in Europe.

Next Sage should be a new lock type:
SlipIt or slip-joint would be great at some point
preferably as lightweight version or full micarta/G10/carbon (should not be a heavy knife)

My dream is a Sage1 or 5 in SPY27 with cobalt blue G10 scales.

P.S
I wouldn’t mind a Sage 2 in SPY27 with cobalt blue titanium handle.

I for one would love to have a G-10 Sage 4. I like the Sage series in general but I think I really prefer back locks. I like how the Taichung backlocks work best with their extra stop pins.
I wouldn't care if it were a single color of G-10 or if it mimicked the previous one using grey G-10 for bolsters and brown G-10 to replace the ironwood.

My Sage series wishes are a Slipit version, and a Phantom Lock version.
