WWll Army Air Corp Mod.

#1

Post by Flynfjr419 »

So, this is my first post. I had some things left to me by my Father. Some medals and wings and lapel pins. He was not a hero except to me. He flew at the end of the 2nd world war and lived a great life. He taught me everything of importance in life.

He flew p38's in the pacific and an array of other really cool aircraft he was night fighter. I Mounted his wings on my motorcycle and his lapel pin from the Army Air Corp. On my everyday carry knife. a folding Warren cliff here is a picture I thought it was cool. I keep a piece of him with me every day. Thought you might like to see it.

I love the fact that you keep a piece of a love one close to you at all times. We all do in our heart, but material things sometimes remind us of our love for close ones at a higher frequency, it can only be good to you.

Welcome to the forum !

A good father and a soldier willing to put his life on the line, I would say your father was indeed a hero. What a nice way to honor him.

That is awesome! I'm going to look into doing the same with some of my dad's WWII medals. Thanks for the great idea!

Very nice. My father was in the US Army Air Corp during WW2. He was a B17 crewman. Yikes!

To all that have replied, Thank you. I did not think I would have seen such a good reply to this he was and awesome man. Who taught me well and spent time with me to show to show me little things that matter in life. Like how to use a screwdriver and back it out to find the threads. those little things are huge moving forward in life. Not so much the instruction but the interaction and love shown at the time. My dad was a master of truth and demonstration of love to me. I cannot tell you how important that was in my life.

That is a very cool tribute!! Nicely done. It looks like it could have come from the factory like that.

I agree with the previous posts, he was definitely a hero.
