Those scales are screaming for a DLC blade! I've had this version of the PM2 for a few weeks a couple years back, I just couldn't warm up to that blade finish. Too weird looking for me, even had a tint of a pinkish hue to it in certain lighting, at least to my eyes. Feels like one step away from some of those crazy Boker blades.

I agree , I am not sure if I could warm up to this one . I do like the scales a lot , the blade ? Not so much . MG2

This is my favorite color G10 Spyderco uses. I think the Flat Dark Earth blade color compliments the handle color very well and the black accents are the finishing touch. Even though I’m a huge fan of this color combo, I still agree with you that these scales would look great with a black DLC blade too. So basically, REC and DLT often make some of my favorite exclusives!

(I’d sell my soul for an REC or DLT exclusive of the PPT Perrin)

I love the REC “colorway” (somehow the first time I heard that term was in reference to REC’s Spyderco exclusives) but it would be nice if they went with a tougher steel than CTS 204P. Can’t have everything though.

This is purely academic from my perspective since I tend to steer well clear of hyped up knife drops. The drama and disappointment (and private messages begging you to sell your knife if you did get one) is not for me!
