It is past the trade deadline so they would have needed to wait until the new league year begins in 2023 to trade him. I think he asked for the release and they probably knew they were done with him so they just honored his request.

I would say that should bode well for the Patriots next matchup but he didn’t play last game and the Bills mopped the floor with the Patriots. So I don’t think it makes a difference to the Patriots, unfortunately!

The Raiders have some big issues though! They’ve blown so many games in some bad ways this season. They’ve blown three 17 point leads and a 13 point lead tonight to the Rams who are struggling in the first place but also playing Baker Mayfield, who has been with them for about two days. They also lost to a bad Colts team with Jeff Saturday making his coaching debut. They’re in for a looooong off season!

They were getting beat so bad, the broadcast here just switched to the Seahawks vs Panthers game!

They were already down by like 30 but it looked like Brady injured his throwing hand in that game. I’d hope its nothing serious!
