i prefer stainless steels. i've never used m4 and i hear it's great, but it leans a little too hard into entropy for my tastes, especially for the price.

Fair enough. Thanks for the reply. Speaking of stainless, I’m looking at the S90V carbon Native Chief sprint right now. Another steel I have virtually no experience with.

Anyway, I’m not trying to steer this thread away from that sweet Shaman. Sorry folks!

Funny, once I saw this one I thought of you and wondered if you'd chime in haha. I'm in the same boat. If I didn't have a Shaman, or only had 1 Shaman that was a satin blade, I'd no brainer grab this one. Great combination of materials!

I live in the desert. The only steel I have that has rusted on me is m4. If you look at it wrong it oxidizes faster. I don’t understand bhq’s infatuation with m4. There’s plenty of other exciting steel choices and they continuously choose a rust prone steel.
