I don't regret going to see 65, but I also don't feel the need to rewatch it. The last battle with the T-Rex was pretty 'meh'.
65 Update: I just watched it on prime. I was pleasantly surprised, it was pretty good.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think both Adam Driver and John Boyega have really shined outside of the Star Wars franchise.

Watched a series in Prime this weekend, The Peripheral. I give it 4 stars.
"The Peripheral centers on Flynne Fisher, a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow's America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future. Until the future comes calling for her. The Peripheral is master storyteller William Gibson’s dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind — and what lies beyond."
The basic concept is a transfer of consciousness via a head set to a robot body (peripheral). Kind of like quantum leap but the transfer is into a mechanical body that is in a future time line that takes place after multiple catastrophic events have taken place.

Love that show. Nathan Fillion at his best. And one of the best intro songs ever...

Agree on all points.
There is another series called "The Expanse".
The solar system is being colonized and political factions are fighting each other. Mars, Earth, and the Belters (a labor force in the asteroid belt).

I went to watch Meg 2 this evening. It's an excellent popcorn flick. I enjoyed it a lot. If you're looking for a "fun" movie go give it a see.

I restarted my Hulu subscription and just watched by far the second best Predator movie called Prey (2022). A new take, circa early 18th century North America, with tremendous suspense and action. Nothing tops the original Predator (1987) though which I’ve seen a handful of times.

I agree RamZar, saw Prey for a third time on Disney+ and it's really good. Beautiful character arc for our protagonist and her pup but such a haunting tale for the local tribe who basically lose an entire generation of young warriors to this interdimensional demon. Talented director Dan Trachtenberg captures that magnificently in the final scene. Personally I feel like the franchise is safe for now in his young but capable hands after such a fresh take on it. I'd love to see AvP3 by him, though I suspect that would make me a small yet vocal minority.

Indeed. A second viewing is in order for me. I also liked the use of English, Comanche and French. Those French-Canadian fur trappers skinning hundreds of buffalos sure got their comeuppance. The movie has so many thoughtful layers. Hope to see a Prey 2!

In the trailer it says this about the Comanche: “They Hunt to Live” and this about the Predator: “It Lives to Hunt”…

Yes Sir definitely watch it again and you'll likely notice some things you didn't the first time around. The trappers getting served was one of the most satisfying but brutal things I seen in years. Watching the finale again I get the impression that the main purpose of these Yautja hunters is not only to collect trophies but also groom local apex predators when a suitable candidate is found. I'll be waiting for a 4K steelbook release to add this one and complete my collection, hopefully a director's cut. I'd love to see Prey 2 in Viking times or the not so distant future...

  • Vikings
  • Mongols
