I received my Pacific Salt 2 3.76 inch today. I reduced the length by approximately .25 inches to make certain it would conform to my state’s laws on blade length. I used the suggestions from the fine folks from here at the forum to do so and am overall pleased with the results. I used an extra coarse DMT stone and 60 grit sandpaper and finished up the spine with a white rod from the Spyderco Guantlet. I would approximate 2 hours to complete the project. I did my best to keep the same blade shape as I like the style. Thanks for all of the advice!

ETA - For some reason my post contains two before shots. The final photo is after the blade reduction.

Looks really good! Well done. I like the blade shape as well. I feel a little more confident with it to go to work.

Thanks! I am very happy with the results, and despite taking a bit off the length it’s still plenty long for me. If there was an Endela sized Pacific Salt 2 I would have gladly purchased that. I’ve gained some confidence in making alterations after working on my Wharncliffe Delica and this knife, which opens up several other knives to me.

Agreed! I’m not a fan of the folding knife laws in my state, but I intend to abide by them until they are changed.
