I took "better" pictures of my Florissant fossils this weekend. At least the ones I wanted to catalog and display.
Leaf from an extinct birch tree genus (Fagopsis Longifolia?)
Extinct Birch Tree Leaf - Florissant, CO_(#0003F) (3)-rs.jpg
Extinct Birch Tree Leaf - Florissant, CO_(#0003F) (17)-rs.jpg
And here is a seed/acorn/nut/small pine cone? I have even imagined a strawberry...It is smaller than a dime.

Ok last photo of fossil material. I split this piece and found a sweet piece of wood, some twigs and other debris scattered on it. The wood was amazing when I first cracked it open. It has since slightly degraded because of transport, handling etc...

Everything else I have are things like small twigs, unidentified/unidentifiable material or just to small to display. I have some more pieces to split though still after a decent trimming session this weekend.
