Hey folks,

A bit late to my own party, which is odd because being German I tend to be in time in 99 out of 100 cases. :O

Thanks for the posts Blokie, David, Jeff, Connor, Rick, Manixguy, Jon, Chris, Jim, Sharp Guy, and last but not least Doc. I really appreciate you guys thinking of me. :fist-bump

I'm taking a break from my beloved hobby of controlled collecting Spydies and from being on here with you guys, since in late March I was diagnosed with a rather rare form of Leukemia, and am in hospital since April 8th. :-|| I passed chemo #1 some time ago, now I'm in a recovery phase. They took a second bone marrow sample to see if c1 was fully effective or if still / again there are cancer cells. Depending on the results (available not before twelve days from now) the doctors will see which intensity and length c2 will have to have. Another shorter recovery phase will follow, and then there's going to be a stem cells tranplantation. Looks like my sister is my ace in my book, but she needs first to pass a physical examination in a few days. If she does not pass, docs say that my overall genetic predisposition is open for a wider range of donors - I should not worry about the finding a donor part so much. Knocking on wood....

My wonderful wife is visiting me twice per work week, and on the weekends she is bringing my insanely beautiful and smart kids. I can see them all, but I can't cuddle them (my defense system against any infections etc is still pretty much offline), which sucks. But then again three visits of my family in a week is not that bad. I shall not complain.

I have 200GB per month of fast mobile phone data for surfing and streaming, and my compact but powerful BT & DAB radio box is sitting here right beside me. Without both I would probably go insane. The prospect of so many more weeks in hospital is not easy to swallow. But I have the world's best motivation to pump through it - my family. I need to be with them. They need me. Nuff said.

I hope I haven't killed anyone's good mood. Do not worry, I'm a fighter. I'll beat off the demon!

Keep up the good work, y'all!! :cheap-sunglasses
