And only because I like comparison shots…
It’s really hard to capture in a photo the depth and reflection you get from the patina. Different angles of the light change the darkness and color. In bright light it just looks cloudy. Kinda kills the blues and golds.
Also, the forum only lets you attach files of a certain size/resolution…

Yeah, this forum teaches you to zoom way out to take pics so you can crop them to a smaller file size. Otherwise I have to email them to myself and select the smaller image size… I wish the forum could process to the required res on upload.

Or use a image hosting site and link the image.
I use https://imgbb.com
I upload my image, and copy the 'full image unlinked BBCode'
Which looks like this [*img]https*://i.ibb.co/nMkz6FK/20220615-003734.*jpg[*/img]
And when you paste the code here it displays like this

Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
It's been a minute since I've checked in on the Spyderco Forum....Family Duties have called and kept me very busy. Starting to catch a breath!!
Sorry to say, I've not put my Shaman to use yet.
On a brighter note...I'm still beating on a Spyderco Knife!!! LOL!!
Re: Blade HQ M4/Micarta Shaman
I do know how to do that, but it’s a bit of a nuisance. Photobucket bombed, then I moved to Imgur and they then dropped support for mobile, forcing phone users to their app. I don’t remember why I hated it, probably because it defaults to pushing other junk at you when all I want to do is get to my album. At least on safari I can block all the ads. It’s just a hassle when other fora just resize the native image on upload (like BCUSA and CanoeTripping.net).ZrowsN1s wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 6:47 pmOr use a image hosting site and link the image.

For imgur you can just go to desktop mode in your mobile browser, and it'll show the upload ("New post") button again. That's what I do, and it's no harder than doing the same from a computer.Woodpuppy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 6:44 amI do know how to do that, but it’s a bit of a nuisance.
