I have held off for a year or 2 but recently purchased a AV date Siren.
Wow, I have carried daily for 3 weeks and it surpasses every expectation I had. It carries very light, erogonics are fantastic.
I put a course edge on it and it performs very well. Used in the kitchen it will to 95% of what my spyderco chef does. With the pointie tip it does daily tasks well, cardboard, zip ties, rope, fishing line, and bubble wrap. Overall it will rate in rotation with my GB2, spyderco Tuff, carrabean serrated, and Benchmade 9400. It makes the top 5 list for EDC.
Thanks to Lance Clinton, and Spyderco for such dedication to perfection.
