DLC CRUWEAR Manix with Smooth Black G-10 Knifecenter Exclusive

#1

Post by ZrowsN1s »

Well this one came out of nowhere.

Wasn't planning on buying a knife today but here we are.

The S30V all black Manix has been a favorite of mine since I picked one up for a friend back when they were $100. And I've been wanting something in Cruwear for a while. Seemed like fate.

As I was saying in the Delivered and up and coming thread, I really like smooth G-10 knives like the Shaman. The ergos and liner jimping on the Manix also make grippy G-10 less necessary. I'm excited to get this in hand.

I hope they sell well, I've seen a lot of "asks" for new Manix2's.

This would be cool to blade swap with the upcoming magnacut manix lw.

Rick! Rick! Where's Rick! Get over here! You're going to want to see this.

That is 2 Cruwear exclusives coming with the DLT PM2. That's great I hope there are more.

Hahaha...I've already had the satin version of this knife! Those scales aren't nearly as slick or slippery as people may think. They have a pretty good grip to them.

Rick glad you you like it . I wish I did but smooth G10 like the Shaman just doesn’t work well in my hands . If it had been like the DLT M390 Manix it would be shipping to my house as I type . Hope you get one and enjoy it buddy ! Dan

If I did not have a G10 Manix, I'd be all over this. Hopefully, we will see more Cruwear.

I got the email on that one earlier. Very nice! I have enough Cruwear and enough Manix 2s. Should be a good opportunity for those wanting to try both though

That's really nice. I can resist the temptation at this moment, but I might weaken by this evening. Please, everyone buy them all up now!

Judging by the weight at 4.3 oz and the description of fully skelonitized liners they must be sticking to those extremely skelonitized liners like the M390 Earth Brown. I wondered whether or not that was permanent or just an exclusive thing.

I was about to order and saw the coated blade, which I'm not a big fan of. I had the satin version and that was hands down my favorite knife I've ever owned. I sold it and regret it every day. Hoping it makes a come back after this one!

i'm struggling with this one. i've been waiting for a g10 manix, but i was actually hoping for uncoated, i'm not big on non-stainless, and smooth g10 isn't my favorite. i was planning on replacing the scales though, so that's not really a big issue.

someone help me out here... do i want this? if i get it and the ayoob drops tomorrow, i'm not sure i can convince the cfo i need both.

🤔

Nice surprise indeed, always cooler than long drawn out teaser promotions. Would order one, but I just found a back lock Manix 2 at original price.

I mean, it sounds like you could just get the S30V or S110V version if you want stainless/uncoated and aren't worried about the scales? S110V even has the skeletonized liners.

(For what it's worth I have the earlier satin cruwear version of this and it's quite nice; I go back and forth with the 20CV lightweight depending on whether or not I need stainless. They're a fun combo.)

I'm going to start sending e-mails, letters and calls to Knives&Tools asking for them to negociate an exclusive contract with Spyderco ! I want to use money on more than production knives ! :squinting-tongue

Good buy everyone, this sure looks like a good combo.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

i was thinking about just going with s30v, but it's always fun to try new steels. i'm not interested in s110v because i'm not the best at sharpening and i prefer tougher steels to harder steels, generally.
