Has Spyderco ever made a knife with titanium scales and a compression lock?

Titanium is my favorite scale material, but I prefer the compression lock to the frame lock on most all the titanium knives.

Wouldn't mind a para 3 sprint with an integral compression lock.

I will get Ti scales for my Shaman. I hope spyderco makes Ti scales for the market. I know it’s expensive, but people be buying. I know we ask to much of Spyderco and we are spoiled. I will just buy aftermarket ones. A Magna cut or LC200N Salt Shaman is on my dream list.

Like many people, I thought a PM2 in titanium was a given.

Thinking about it now, with a bit more maturity into the hobby, I think a titanium PM2 or Shaman don't make that much sens. Titanium scales makes the most sens on framelock. Outside of pure framelock, it's an inferior material for scales. It's expensive, scratch a lot most of the time, is very slippery, heavy... among other stuff. In terms of scales, G10, Micarta, FRN and such are superiors alternative.

I still think nothing compare to a titanium framelock, but outside of that particular use, I think titanium is barely more than a fad for pocket jewelry kind of people. A fad that seem less and less popular, judging by the most popular manufacturers catalogue (Benchmade, Spyderco, SOG, Civivi...).

There are aftermarket titanium scales for the Para Military 2, Para 3, Shaman, and Yojimbo 2 made by multiple manufacturers so I'd agree that it wouldn't make a lot of sense for Spyderco to make one. if you want one of these models with titanium scales, there is a way to have it reasonably quickly.

It would be more interesting to me if the anodized aluminum BladeHQ exclusive PM2's engineering spread to other models. A green aluminum Para 3 with wire clip like the lightweight would really really float my boat.
