Putting utility aside, what's the best looking Spyderco ever made ?

(According to you, of course, all is subjective).

To me it's a tie between the Slysz Bowie and the Native 5. The Dragonfly 2 would be third.

Just looking at lines and not materials, I would say the Native 5 or Native Chief. Just flows so well, yet keeps attributes that make it Spyderco.

However, scales, these Kopas you post are something to behold.

Along the lines of ZrowsN1s:
Said it before:
Though it is not my favorite Spydie, not even in its size class: The Native 5 has the coolest lines and looks.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Have to say probably the fluted titanium Military, and/or either versions of the fluted Native 5. Otherwise I really like the overall shape of the Shaman.

Material choice and color aside. Purely based on aesthetics, open and closed, Native 5 and GB2. Military in there as well.

Well...don´t think I as aware of that particular model, and it is looking great indeed!! Especially in the open position.
For me "great looking knife" always overlaps to a large part with "want to grab and use it immediately", and this is what your choice makes me want to do.

Plain Jain's.... simple lines, working profiles that mean business. Some knives do not need abalone, dlc or damascus.

i know... i know... hear me out.

in my opinion, in order for a knife to be the best looking spyderco, it should be designed by either sal or eric, not a third party collaboration. on top of that, it should be "designed in the dark," which to me translates to "ugly in the best possible way."

the sheepsfoot caribbean se epitomizes those attributes for me. it's so ugly that i didn't want to buy one for the longest time. as soon as i had it in hand though, it just made so much sense that it became one of my favorites instantly.

the blade is perfect for emergencies with the spyderedge and the near-wharncliffe and sheepsfoot shape. the handle is ribbed for my pleasure, providing an interesting look, neutral grip area, and outstanding grip texture. and the taichung fit and finish is flawless, with the smoothest example of a compression lock i've used.

like most spydercos, this model has to be in your hand for you to really fully appreciate the genius behind its design and execution. it's the most beautiful because it does perfectly what it was designed to do.

Good answer but putting all aspects of utility aside, do you have a favorite knife made by Spyderco based purely on aesthetics? Or would that answer also be the Caribbean?

Well, I’m glad I could introduce you to it! :cheap-sunglasses You aren’t the first either, I’ve had a few other forum users message me to ask what model knife is featured first on the image in my signature. Some of them even tracked one down on the secondary market to buy for themselves! It has been my favorite Spyderco since it was released and if anything were to take its place, it would have to be a very special design.

(Here’s my quick informal plea to RIVERS EDGE CUTLERY and ST NICKS KNIVES to commission an exclusive SPYDERCO PERRIN PPT as soon as you can order exclusives from Spyderco again!!!)

yeah... it's hard to separate utility from the equation. spyderco's thing seems to be form over function and i think this knife is definitely the best realization of those principles.

as far as my favorite, it's easily the manix, but not really because of looks.
