Saturday night, my Tennessee Treeing Brindle, Ginger,
got bitten for the second time by a Copperhead
before I could dispatch it with my heavy hiking stick.

Once I begin striking the snake, Ginger jumps in, takes it and shakes it.
This one got her before I could put it down for the count.

No picture but probably about 20 inches.
Ginger was listless and had a swollen neck Sunday
but had her energy and appetite back Sunday night.
She seems fine today.

They're the only one I belive that get out in the dark. Last year, I had a bunch of em.on my front porch. It was wild. They appeared to be dead but, I laid one on the porch rail with the sun shining on him and he slowly came to life....then it was curtains for good ......got no use for European Hornets
