Generative AI is experimental. Info quality may vary.

The gray treefrog (Dryophytes versicolor) is a small, arboreal tree frog that lives in the Holarctic Tree Frog family (Hyla). The Holarctic is a more formal name for tree frogs that live in areas north of the tropics, including North America and Europe.

The gray treefrog is a medium-sized, color-changing amphibian that can be gray, brown, or green. It has suction cup feet and bright orange spots hidden under its hind legs. It can live to be 7 years old in captivity.

Tree frogs are neither aggressive nor poisonous. The highest risks from handling them are skin irritations and Salmonella bacteria. To avoid these risks, you can refrain from handling them.

The Cope's Gray Treefrog (Hyla chrysoscelis) produces a toxic skin secretion that can cause discomfort to the eyes, lips, mucus lining of the nose, or open cuts and abrasions. After handling a gray treefrog, you should wash your hands carefully.

Saturday night, my Tennessee Treeing Brindle, Ginger,
got bitten for the second time by a Copperhead
before I could dispatch it with my heavy hiking stick.

Once I begin striking the snake, Ginger jumps in, takes it and shakes it.
This one got her before I could put it down for the count.

No picture but probably about 20 inches.
Ginger was listless and had a swollen neck Sunday
but had her energy and appetite back Sunday night.
She seems fine today.

Thats right Mac! Yessir! Big **** things too!
They're the only one I belive that get out in the dark. Last year, I had a bunch of em.on my front porch. It was wild. They appeared to be dead but, I laid one on the porch rail with the sun shining on him and he slowly came to life....then it was curtains for good 😆......got no use for European Hornets
