O/T buck 110

It seems that no collection is complete without the famous buck 110. Well is it ever complete? I am sure that most of you folks had this knife as one of your first ones. For myself it was my last for now. I just got one a couple of weeks ago and what can I say; heavy, tough as nails and an old fashioned classic. I think even Sal had good things to say about it. It makes me appreciate the design, materials and perfomance of a spyderco. So I'm just woundering how many of us here own this mother of all folders?

My 110 is always on my belt for work carry. (I carry that ol' workhorse along with my FRN Endura SE.) Best of both worlds. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

My first "real" knife, after my boyscout knife.
I still have it, and would never part with it. It was with me on all my fishing trips until 1990, when I first went to Golden.

Yes the Buck 110 is a fine knife. Just as good today as it was many years ago.

I think everyone has one. Like they say on there web site-when you got a 110 your part of a very big family.

My first 'real' knife after my Scout knife was also a Buck. Only mine was the Ranger. Slightly smaller and no nail nick.

I've had one for at least 10 years now, I believe it has the old 425 Mod. steel in it, and ours has one hand opening via the Bandit. It takes a very keen edge off of our 204SM! RKBA!

My Buck 110 was the first thing I ordered over the Internet from the US (knifecenter). Somewhere in 1997...

My 112 has worn out two leather sheaths. The mark on it says 91, so 12+.

I got my first Buck 110 (with no dots or dashes on the blade) in the early 70's. It cost $21.30 with tax. I had to think hard and long about the outrageous price. Little did I realize that the knives in my future would make that price look cheap.

Thanks, Seaman! Yes, the one in the previous picture is a 2003. Here's a side-by-side of the new one with my 1975 model. The older one has the Macassar Ebony scales, as opposed to the laminated dyed birch on their current production.
