Nice to see jimping on the Lil Native LW!! The lack thereof was a huge letdown on the G10 version. If only it had a boye dent...
To each their own. I think jimping is entirely unnecessary on the Lil Native. I would be incredibly disappointed if every Lil Native model were to get jimping.
It's interesting and not the first time I'm reading it. Why do some think jimping isn't needed on the Lil native ?
It’s pretty simple really, it’s just not necessary! In my opinion, the first few years in the market have proven such.

Personally, I prefer not having jimping on knives I know I will be using hard for extended periods of time.
Using the Delica as an example, I love the model and use it often but I don’t use it at work much anymore because the jimping WILL cause a hotspot when I have to use it hard for extended periods of time. The Kahr Arms Delica removed the jimping and significantly increased the length in which I could use the knife without developing a hotspot.
Whaaaat??
Thinner blade stock lil'native and screwed together Magnacut salty Manix LW...
Add to that, the very efficient blade to handle ratio on the S2XL.
It's like Spyderco has been listening to my every little feedback.
None of that was unlikely to happen, but man did it happen way sooner than I dared to hope. Hats off (and good bye savings...)
Did I overhear Eric say something about a prototype YoMinibo somewhere as he was fondling that marvelous boxslayer?

I like the fact of a Military with a comp lock. No need for anything fancy. 4 way carry clip, S30V and black G10 is all i need. Just keep it affordable if possible.
Just bought my first Spyderco in almost 5 years, a lil native dlc. Heart sank when I saw the wharnie because I love the blade shape usually but idk, still love the look, but dislike how much the blade sticks out from handle when closed. Part of appeal for the lil native for me is that it disappears so while I love the look, think I’ll stick with the OG, until they make compression LW lol
The lil native lw finally got my interest. I've had zero interest in the lil native lineup so far because small knives with thick blades don't do anything for me. But now I'm intrigued.

Kudos on that thinner blade on Lil'Native LW. I still prefer the formfactor of the Urban, but this will make the LW a much more usable knife. Do we know what steel it will be made of?

The picture shows as S30V. But that could change, I guess.

I will probably get a Native Chief LW for my dad as he loves the Native 5 LW but will probably want something larger sometimes. Did the video show bd1n?

I apparently somehow managed to miss that. S30V is perfectly fine (and a lot better choice than n690co of the Urban - that knife deserves a little upgrade :p ). There will surely be sprint runs later down the road, but I would expect Spyderco to stay with S30V for now (there were no hints so far that they would plan to replace this steel as their main choice)
No Milli 2 in the latest Reveal, no sneak preview of it in any video yet - does this mean there are still months to pass before we finally get it?

Of the steels in regular use in Golden, I think S30V is a pretty solid choice for this type of knife. If I could choose any of them, I might have made this my first knife in S110V, but S30V is just fine. And probably has a wider appeal / better suited for the non-enthusiast market.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
Seems like if the Military 2 were ready it would have been in the Reveal or Shot or both. It'll surely be a very significant release, I would think they would want to debut it at Shot if they could have.
