Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
I just received mine after over a month waiting for it to trickle through the military mail system. I was beginning to think someone took it for a test ride or something. But all is good. And the knife is great, it is very solid and another great example of Spyderco's hard work and great designs. Being over here in Germany I have come to appreciate the non locking but yet upper echelon of pocket knife offerings. This one is definitely being carried and it is definitely at the top of my Euro friendly line up. Thanks Sal and Spyderco Team for this great little knife!

I especially like how, on this one, it shows the two cross marks across the spine, one is dark and one is light.

Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
Does anyone know what titanium screw set I could use to customize this knife? I am looking add pink (or blue) anodized titanium screw set to this knife for my girlfriend and I am willing to pay well for it as it would certainly be something special but I am not finding anything for this knife ... Any thoughts on who I could pay/bribe to sell/make a set of pink (or blue) anodized titanium screws for this knife?

You could try Etsy, eBay or the chap at Vapor Puffin in the UK.

I'm a new member here, but not to knives.
My new Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban is the first Spyderco I've owned, since my Seki-made Worker, back in the 90s. The blade is stunning,... real eye candy. It came hair popping sharp.
Anyone had any staining issues with the white G10 scales?
(The blue stain made by my Denim shorts did wash off with soap & water.)

They're gonna get dirty. Adds character. I use 99% rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to clean my G-10 and blades.1penge wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 1:40 pmI'm a new member here, but not to knives.

Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
Added one of these, the closing action is SUPER stiff. Maybe some use will soften the stiffness
Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
I only have a k390 and the standard n690co Urban. The standard one is considerably stiffer to close - and I like that a lot. In direct comparison the UKPK (again, a standard BD1N) is about as stiff, but smoother to open. In fact - I am really impressed how well tuned the action on the UKPK is.
... I like weird ...

Re: Damasteel Ivory G10 Urban
If it's that bad, I would send it back. A little stiff to start may be fine, but this sounds like a QC miss. I wouldn't have that on the entry level UKPK, so dont have it on this one.
Mine is super smooth, clicks nicely in and out. It is really good. Get a new one.

Stiff is good on slip joints. Mushy back springs are awfulSuperfool wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 3:58 amIf it's that bad, I would send it back. A little stiff to start may be fine, but this sounds like a QC miss. I wouldn't have that on the entry level UKPK, so dont have it on this one.
